Play Activities

Little Treasures

Are you a parent with a baby less than 6 months old or a parent to be? if so come along to our group every Friday between 9.45-11.00am. Let your child learn through play, with different activities each week for you and your child. For children over 6 months of age we run our Stay and Play sessions (see below). 

Bambis and Little Treasures have been incorporated,  new mum's or a mum to be can get advice, help or support with any feeding issues, breast feeding or weaning issues, or just meet other parents? If so then come along where qualified staff are available. One to one support can also be arranged.



Stay and Play Drop-in

Every Monday and Thursday morning between 9.45am and 11:00am.

The Monday session will be concentrating on "walkers and talkers" (18 months-4 years) and the Thursday session will be concentrating on "babies and crawlers" (6-18 months).

Parents, Carers, Grandparents and children 0 - 4 years, come along and spend some quality playtime without interruptions, and to meet other parents and carers in a relaxed atmosphere. Ask one of the children centre team about any special Stay and Play's that we might run throughout the year. 





Story Time

Singing, rhymes and listening to stories are great for parents and carers to communicate with their children, and assists with early language development and emotional well being. These sessions are for children and their parents or carers. These sessions run every week, on Tuesdays between 2.00-2.45pm. This session is bookable, with a £2 per family charge and term time only.

Multi-Sensory and Soft Play Rooms

Time for parents and children to enjoy the Multi-Sensory and Soft Play experience that these rooms offer. Our sensory room has now been enhanced to improve the experiences. .

The centre is now open on a regular basis on Wednesday evening, and the Soft Play room and Multi Sensory room are open between 5.30-6.30pm. You will need to contact the centre staff to book these rooms.

Messy Play

A chance for you and your child to explore messy play activities, aimed at children from birth through to 4 years, and now taking place only on the first Thursday of every month, between 3.30-4.15. The sessions last 45 minutes and consist of time to explore messy play activities. We aim to inspire your child’s creativity and curiosity and enjoyment through these sessions. You and your child can get messy with all types of materials, have fun and you don’t need to clean your own home afterwards!  


Book Start Corner

Sharing books, stories, songs and rhymes helps to build pre-school literacy skills. It also provides special time for you and your child to build strong relationships. Book Start Corner aims to:

  • promote early language development
  • shows the importance of spending time sharing books, songs and rhymes
  • shows the importance and the role parents play in their child's communication

Music sessions (These sessions are now bookable)

Your child is never too young to benefit from and enjoy listening and participating in music. It also helps in developing relationships between you and your child. So come along to a fun time musical drop in for babies, toddlers and their parents and carers.
Monday afternoons 2 - 2.45 there is a charge for this session of £3 per child or £5 per family.
